Bray Plastics CNC machine a diverse range of plastic materials. Acrylics, acetal, PVC, ABS, Nylons, Polycarbonate and PTFE to name just a few.
These materials are used throughout industry and in a large number of cases have replaced the more traditional ferrous and nonferrous originals.
Bray’s machining capacity is just one of the services we offer to our customers. Can we help you with yours?
What is CNC machining?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. The CNC Machining process is used in many manufacturing industries and uses computers to control machine tools. All sorts of machines can be controlled by CNC such as routers, grinders, mills and lathes.
A 2D or 3D CAD drawing is created which is translated into a G-code (CNC machining language). The computer can control the exact positioning, depth and speed of the machine to ensure accurate results. CNC machining can be used on plastic and metal. Before the actual cutting a trial run will take place to ensure there are no problems as otherwise there could be damage to materials or machines.
CNC machining is ideal for complex 3D shapes as it is extremely precise and can be repeated in an identical manner countless times.
