3D Printing
3D printing is an additive manufacturing process where plastic filament, resin or powder is layered up to create the final object. It can be an invaluable resource when it comes to prototyping and low volume runs of complicated parts that would otherwise require expective injection moulding tooling.
Our Capabilities
- 3D prints in either SLA (resin), MJF (Multi-jet fusion) or SLS (powder)
- SLS prints in either Nylon PA12 for strength or TPU for flexibility
- SLA prints in a wide variety of resins from general purpose and engineering to jewellery and medical
Prototype knee guard and door stay hooks. SLA 3D printed in general purpose clear resin.
3D prints can be painted to achieve virtually any colour. Here a black SLA print has been sprayed with maroon 2Pak paint for a high gloss finish. This is a tool for undoing Dzus fasteners on an aircraft cowling.
This a SLS 3D printed mandrel in black nylon PA12. This shape lends itself ideally to 3D printing as to have this either machined or injection moulded would be very expensive due to the complexity and depth of the cutouts.

We have two printers – a FormLab 2 SLA unit for fine detail and a 3DP FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) unit with a massive build volume of 1 metre x 1 metre x 500 mm

We have a twin head 150 watt laser for laser cutting and engraving of corrosive plastic sheet materials, as well as a 1500×2500 flat bed 150 watt laser for fine quality high finish production.
